Alejandro Moreno Cardenas

Alejandro Moreno Cárdenas, national president of the PRI, has been accused before the Tax Administration Service (SAT) of contracting shell companies during his tenure as governor of Campeche to carry out simulated transactions and divert over 59 million pesos.

“I am aware that during the administration of Rafael Alejandro Moreno Cárdenas, Christian Mishel Castro Bello, and América del Carmen Azar Pérez, several simulated operations, resource diversions, and other acts contrary to the law were carried out, defrauding the government of Campeche and the Federal Tax Administration,” stated Teresita Cervantes Pérez in a complaint filed with the SAT’s Strategic Audit Administration.

The complainant, who resides in Mexico City, alleges that Alejandro Moreno Cárdenas, Christian Castro Bello—candidate for governor in Campeche—América del Carmen Azar Pérez, and the shell companies engaged in transactions in 2017, 2018, and 2019 that likely violated current tax regulations and constituted the crime of tax fraud and related offenses.
